Production

The production of cardboard boxes involves shaping corrugated board, which is then completed by bonding the corrugations to flat sheets of paper. The quality of a cardboard box is determined by the height, number and weight of the corrugations. The carton is one of the most important products in the growing manufacturing sector, ensuring high-quality packaging, packing and transport. With the growth of e-commerce and the proliferation of digital tools, the carton – which provides the safest protection for goods during transport – will continue to maintain and enhance its importance with each passing day.

The types of corrugated cardboard, which are the most important raw material in carton production;

A+C+B Wave (Triple) (Three-ribbed)

A combination of three flutes and four sheets, consisting of seven sheets in total, is widely preferred in heavy industry and the timber sector due to its high strength and durability.

The groove depth varies between 10.7 and 11.8 mm.

B+C Wave (Dopel) (Double-grooved)

It consists of two flutes and three flat sheets of paper, formed by bonding five sheets together, and is one of the most popular types of corrugated board. It is favoured in the retail and manufacturing sectors for transporting various products, in a range of grammages. The flute height varies between 6.2 and 7.4 mm.

B+E Wave (Micro Doppler)

It consists of five sheets bonded together; compared to B+C fluting, it is the preferred type of fluting for the transport and stacking of products that do not pose a significant risk to structural strength. The flute height varies between 4.2 and 4.8 mm.

C Wave

It is made up of three layers of paper. With a rib height of 3.2–4.0 mm, it ensures functionality in standard manufacturing processes.

Wave B

It is produced by joining three sheets together and has a rib height ranging from 2.1 to 3.0 mm.

E Wave

It is produced by laminating three sheets together and has a groove height ranging from 1.0 to 1.8 mm. It is suitable for use in low-durability, high-consumption applications, either printed or unprinted.

Single-flute cardboard

It consists of one corrugated flute and two layers of flat paper. It is a suitable choice for the packaging and transport of lightweight goods. It is one of the leading products in the packaging industry. E, B, C flutes
